The Wirewerks NextSTEP 3S-Distribution Module is one of a series of slide-in NextSTEP 3-Series fiber management modules, fully compatible with all NextSTEP patch panels and enclosures. NextSTEP 3-Series modules occupy three horizontal slots (shelf positions) in NextSTEP panels and enclosures and are designed to support the fiber network architectures/designs that are often preferred in MSO and Broadband networks, as well as some Data Center applications. NextSTEP 3S-Distribution Modules fully support Base-8 fiber network infrastructures, supporting 1-3 MPO connectors at the rear of the cassette with up to 24 front-facing LC ports per module.
NextSTEP 1U Patch Panels accept up to four 3S-Distribution Modules providing up to 96 LC ports (48 SC ports) per 1U. All 3S-Distribution Modules feature factory terminated and tested low IL fiber connections with a complete choice of fiber and connector types to suit any application and installation environment.
For simplified installations, maintenance and on-going operations, 3S-Distribution Modules feature fast, tool-less slide-in installation. All front panel LC/SC ports are flush-mounted in the same vertical plane, providing easy front panel access while maintaining static cable management with no connector movement during operations. Each 3S-Distribution Module includes a large
port labeling plate, complete with printable, self-adhesive labels, that slides out independently
without disturbing the module, connectors or fibers.
