Plugs and receptacles in the AE Series use
a pin and sleeve design similar to the Powertite® Series, but with a different
pin configuration. Appleton recommends the Powertite Series for new
installations, but continues to supply the full AE Series line for maintenance
and expansion of existing facilities that already use these products.
AE Series plugs and receptacles are
available in 30, 60 and 100 Amp designs, providing safe and reliable power for
fixed and portable electrical equipment such as welders, generators, compressors
and pumps. Epoxy powder coated, copperfree aluminum ensures dependable
performance in severe weather, corrosive atmospheres and rugged work
environments. Electrical continuity is maximized through constant pressure along
the entire contact surface, while durable seals, gaskets and screw caps keep
moisture and dust away from contacts and internal components.
