SCOPE OF THE JOB:
The Counter Sales Representative greets Customers entering the Profit Centre, serves them promptly and politely, and ensures that the merchandise displayed at the counter is presented in an attractive manner. Promotes sales of complimentary and focus products.
Must be highly adaptable to serve Customers at the counter and assist in filling orders and other warehouse duties.
Has ability to influence customers to buy more through cross selling; up selling and substitution skills and can positively improve GM%.
The Inside Sales Representative sells products, processes customer orders, provides pricing and/or technical information and finds solutions to problems in a timely manner.
Pro-active expediting and strong on-going quest of latest developments in products and their features and benefits are critical. Individuals that are motivated and comfortable using the various web sites and on-line tools provided by our key Suppliers is key. Knowledge and demonstrated ability to improve and command higher Gross Margin % is also key. Ability to influence, cultivate and grow GM$ with own select group of assigned House Accounts. Ability to develop strong relationships and negotiate with key Suppliers. Consistently follows up on all quotes to achieve high close ratio.
